Membership is open to any Christian person or organisation, in agreement with the AddictioNZ Statement of Faith 
who are involved directly or indirectly, with preventing or reducing addiction and compulsive behaviour related problems.
Addictive and compulsive behaviours may include eating disorders, self harm, alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, pornography, relationships, co-dependency, work, spending, nicotine, obsessive-compulsive disorders, or other substance or behavioural compulsions.
Members may be involved in recovery work as counsellors, social workers, nurses, doctors, or other helping professions, or may be involved as pastors, leaders, facilitators, support workers, administrators, or volunteers. They may be full, or part-time, and may be working in a Christian or secular environment.
If you seek help, services, or resources through a contact or information on this website, please check for yourself the level of professionalism, qualifications, spiritual oversight or content, or working format with the individual or organisation concerned.
AddictioNZ is not a regulatory body, but simply a network of Christians interested in, or working in, the field of addictions / compulsive behaviours, and recovery.

We believe in God the Father, sovereign and creator, who has made men and women in His image, giving them identity, value, and dignity; in Jesus Christ, God’s son and the Saviour of men and women through His life, death, and resurrection, who calls them to live as His disciples, under His lordship and according to His example; in the Holy Spirit who enables men and women to live in the power of God according to His Word and glory.

Who We Are:
AddictioNZ is a national network of Christians involved directly or indirectly, with preventing or reducing addiction and compulsive behaviour related problems.
What We Do:
At AddictioNZ we endeavour to Connect, Encourage, and Equip.
Connect:
AddictioNZ seeks to connect its members to others, for the purposes of referral, support, training, sharing resources, personal care, supervision, prayer, and encouragement, and to connect those seeking recovery to resources.
Encourage:
Working with addictions and compulsive behaviours can be difficult. The encouragement of meeting with, connecting with, praying with, and celebrating recovery with others whose life and work intersect is immense.
Equip:
AddictioNZ seeks to be a resource to those working in recovery to start, develop, maintain, and improve what they are doing.
